Due to COVID-19, FOCUS Okinawa Staff have been instructed to work from home. Not to worry, we are still here for you and your family! Did you know that Families OverComing Under Stress (FOCUS) is available at a distance? The same quality in-person services are available through TeleFOCUS – all you need is access to a computer with a webcam! Call our office and leave a voice mail or email: Okinawa@focusproject.org for more information on how to get started.
FOCUS offers training designed to strengthen couples and families in readiness for tomorrow. It builds on current strengths and teaches practical skills related to the challenges of military life, including stress, injury and other transitions. During FOCUS, families and couples practice perspective-taking and become closer by developing a shared understanding of their experience. FOCUS training is confidential, free and offers services at family friendly hours. For more information or to sign up please call our main office at 645-6077 or email us at Okinawa@focusproject.org
FOCUS is a prevention service designed to help families address the stress related to military life. The program includes the entire family and is customized to suit its specific needs. FOCUS is offered in several formats: family consultations, family level training, couples training, small group training, and workshops. FOCUS builds strong connections with other military family providers to support a network of care for families.
